Demonstration Flights
We conduct professional demonstration flights at airshows and public events with the L-29 Delfin aircraft. Our pilots, holding valid qualifications, demonstrate the aircraft's flight characteristics in accordance with applicable legislation and safety regulations.
Demonstration Flights at Airshows and Public Events
Demonstration flights are performed by company pilots with the required qualifications. The aircraft commander is always a pilot authorized by the company. Flights are conducted in accordance with the limitations set by the flight manual. Only flight crew may be on board the aircraft during a demonstration flight.
Preparatory and training flights for pilot training for public performances are also considered demonstration flights. These flights take place only with the presence of a trainee pilot and an instructor or examiner. Pilot training is provided by the operator based on the authorization of the Transport Authority of the Slovak Republic and an approved training syllabus. Training flights take place at Žilina Airport (LZZI).
The L-29 Delfin aircraft is also capable of operating from grass runways with a minimum bearing capacity of 5700 kg and a minimum length of 1000 m.
The client ordering the demonstration flight shall provide:
– JET A1 fuel – 270 liters for a 12-minute flight + fuel for departure
– compressed air 110 kg/cm² (we can bring our own source)
– aircraft protection during static display (e.g., roped off)
– hangarage and overnight guarding of the aircraft
– accommodation for the team (minimum 3 persons)
– a room for crew preparation
– space for a presentation booth with promotional items
Price for ferry flight (to/from the demonstration flight location):
– 50 EUR/min – if fuel is provided by L29 Delfin, s.r.o.
– 32 EUR/min – if fuel is provided by the client
Approximate flight time breakdown:
– Engine start, engine test, taxiing, takeoff to 300 m altitude – 10 min
– Navigation flight at 350 km/h – 1 km = approx. 10.29 s
– Circuit, landing and taxi-in – 5 min
Surcharge for smoke effects: 250 EUR / flight
